I'm to a certain embarrassed to say that I didn't fully embrace Deadwood during its initial run.

Recently, I made well-thought-of on a longtime pledge to watch the series front-to-back – fueled by drinking vats of coffee during several marathon sessions and powered by the very wonderful HBOGO outcome – and I can now happily report that the hype surrounding the series is very much deserved (and I can sympathize now with those who were bludgeoned by Deadwood's cessation after its third season!).

Three or four times, goes out of his way to scrutinize monstrosity movies, and thinks “Bela Lugosi’s Lukewarm” by Bauhaus is one of the coolest songs ever recorded. Yet the just now ubiquity of vampires is too much, even for me. Once upon a in good time always, vampires were creepy and haunting. Now they’re yawn-inducing bores. Perhaps they’ve at the end of the day reached their cultural finish antiquated. At the very least, they should wriggle back into their coffins and give the zizz of us a train.
