In the 1950′s and 1960′s Hammer picked up where General had hand off. They became the studio for the very crush in perturbation films. With names like Lugosi, Karloff and Chaney for all reaching the end of their kingdom, Hammer offered up the likes of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. They resurrected all of the noted Unlimited monsters in their own materialization. Now we had a new course of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man and The Mummy. While the films were a bit low-budget and released mostly through the street-in pale, these films made a bloody spot with dread fans all over the area. But by the occasionally the 1970′s had begun, the studio was falling behind in the dread species. Anthony Hinds had left side the studio, and with him went some of the passion for the animus films that made Hammer popular. The studio heads became more interested in other kinds of films, and the awe be subject to languished for a moment.
