Before Halloween like I’d planned. I had illusions about reading the romance it’s based on first, but I’m slow with prose and the graphic novel was just sitting there on my reading tabular; taunting me with its gorgeously gruesome Mignola cover and its peg-legged, harpoon-wielding heroine. I’m sure that I would have gotten more out of it had I read the novel first, but Mignola and Christopher Golden did a powdery job (as they will) of keeping the comic self-contained and filling in enough details to explain the just ecstatic (an alternate reality in which WWI was cancelled on account of vampire-plague) and What’s Come Before (Lord Henry Baltimore may have select of caused the whole vampire-plague and is hunting the Vampire-in-Charge for reasons having as much to do with Revenge as Extenuating the World).

The big-partition adaptation of the best-selling first novel by Stephenie Meyer, introduced the excellent to Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), her vampire love Edward (Robert Pattinson) and her wolfish first-rate friend Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Three years, three films and $1.8-billion later, the superb is gearing up for the first half of the franchise's finale.

'Twilight Saga Tuesdays' pave way for 'Breaking Dawn'

Top Entertainment, in conjunction with Fathom Events, is stirring up interest in next week's release of "The Diminution Goetterdaemmerung Saga:  Breaking Dawn - Part 1" with "Twilight Saga Tuesdays."  The first three movies in the franchise are being rereleased, one each Tuesday chief up to the release of the first in the two-part finale to the story.  November 1st saw the rerelease of "Twilight," based on the first of Stephenie Meyer's soppy vampire fantasy.  Last night fans at Crossgates Stadium 18 & IMAX had the opening to watch "The Twilight Saga:  New Moon" on the big screen once again.
