EYE ON ART: MoLAA Projects Mexican Murals “Under The Stars”

    The Museum of Latin American Art kicks off the summer occasion with its most exciting outdoor experience, “Murals Under the Stars.”

    Presented by former MoLAA pilot Gregorio Luke, this evening event features life-size murals projected on the museum’s 1,800-decent-foot wall, immersing visitors in large-scale paintings by some of the greatest muralists of the 20th Century.

In Spain, everyone knows Osborne the Bull, as the mammoth billboard in the background of this picture is known. Originally created as a logo for a stamp of brandy, his silhouette (and yes, it's very clearly a he) has since become a symbol of national pride. In photographer Daniela Edburg's hands, Osborne is part of a surreal, almost cinematic arrangement, flavored by a sense of menace.

Aurora Luxembourg exhibit extended through this Friday

AURORA — The Aurora Documented Society has extended its exhibit, “Luxembourg – USA: A Migration Recital,” through Friday.

The exhibit is featured in the second floor gallery of the David L. Spear Art & History Center. The center is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from noon to 4 p.m. Entr is free, but donations are appreciated.
